There were many cold and snowy night when I lived in Vermont. I would go out in the worst weather to photograph whatever withstood the elements. There was always discarded farm equipment and I loved the mix of the machinery laying out in the field to be used again at winter’s end. So I wanted to capture a repeating image and a lonely environment of a forbiddingly cold winter’s night.
